Notable Alumni

FlowerSchool New York is proud of our all our graduates who have achieved their goals in the floral design industry.  Below are just a few from this wonderful community who have moved from student to professional – opening their own shop or studio.

Ooldouz Alaei Novin, The English Garden Westlake Village, CA

To us, every floral piece is a poem. We write poetry through flowers by blending originality, simplicity, and the dramatic use of the bounties Mother Nature has to offer to create a unique, visual impact in every floral design.
Ooldouz was professionally trained to become a designer at Flower School New York. She also holds a Master’s degree in photography from the School of Visual Arts. Her professional training in both art and design along with her cultural background makes her vision a unique one.
Her originality, ingenuity and dramatic use of raw materials are key to the strong visual impact, vibrancy, and always perfectly harmonious arrangements that are created.

Paulina Nieliwocki, Blue Jasmine Design Berkeley Heights, NJ

“In 2014 I left teaching high school and dove in, headfirst, opening Blue Jasmine with the idea of providing the Garden State with an aesthetic that spoke to my idea of beauty – wild, whimsical, artful, and refined. My artistry lies in being inspired by natural elements, dainty accents, trailing vines, color, and texture. I really love the flower world; many have said: “You must love what you do,” because my passion for florals is truly something I feel in every fiber. Some people may say it’s intense, others may call it palpable. It is a privilege to work with beauty as a profession and beyond being grateful for that fact, I sincerely relish in the happiness and delight the work provides each and every one of my clients.”
