The three main series offered are the Introductory Series, Intermediate Series and Advanced Design Series. This program is meant those who have Monday-Friday commitments and are only available to focus on their passion over the weekend. Each student, whether at home or in-person, will receive a collection of vases, all floral tools, apron and materials to start their floral journey.
Students who complete all three weekend series will receive a Certificate of Floristry Skills upon finishing. We are offering this series online or in-person. Students who take all three series in-person will receive a discount, bringing the total cost from $3,550 to $3,195.
Weekend ONE: Introductory Series – Saturday, March 20th & Sunday, March 21st (10:30am – 4:00pm)
This series of classes is intended for beginning-level students who have an interest in learning foundation level skills in floral design. Skills include how to correctly handle and care for flowers, how to use a floral knife and clippers, and the conditioning of flowers for optimal vase-life longevity. This series teaches simple, high-end designs that highlight the flowers’ most beautiful and unique characteristics. Once learned, these designs can be recreated at home again and again.

Weekend Two: Intermediate Series – Saturday, April 17th (9:30am – 4:00pm) & Sunday, April 18th (10:30am – 4:00pm)
After learning the basic floristry techniques in the Introduction Series, the Intermediate Series will introduce the next level of floral design skills and techniques including purchasing flowers and building recipes. The prerequisite for this program is the Introduction Series.
This series will begin with a tour of the New York Flower Market on Saturday morning at 9:30am* followed by monochromatic arrangements in the afternoon. On Sunday students will learn large-scale entryway designs, and an Introduction to Tablescaping.
*Students will meet in the Flower Market; details will be provided the week before class. Online students will NOT be able to attend the tour. Online students will join for the ‘Flower Market Flower Pricing & Budgeting’ review starting at 11:30am.

Weekend Two: Advanced Design Series – Saturday, May 1st & Sunday, May 2nd. (10:30am – 4:00pm)
The Advanced Design Series follows the Introductory and Intermediate Series where students learn more advanced techniques and begin to develop their own style of floral design. Students will learn how to differentiate between different design styles including organic/classic/modern, creating a design concept and determining their own color palette for each instructional technique.
In this series, an array of flowers and color palettes are available to students who then choose accompanying vessels and create designs accordingly. Guidance is given based on color, texture and scale appropriateness, and new designer mechanic techniques are featured.
