IN-PERSON or ONLINE Flower Shop Series

June 28 - June 29

$250 – $1200

Welcome to the Flower Shop Series! This two-day series will take students through the workflow of running and owning a flower shop in a simulated environment. Our production management program is intended for students who are interested in working in a flower shop, wrapping orders beautifully for delivery, managing workflows and having an authentic flower shop design experience. If you are interested in working toward a career as a florist, while being coached by seasoned professionals, or just enjoy making beautiful, lush floral designs, then this two-day program is for you.

CLASS DETAILS

Monday, June 28th (10:30am – 3:30pm): Setting Up Shop

Student will se up the simulated shop.  With several wrapping styles, colors and sizes to choose from, they will be able to begin formulate their style.  We will focus on preparation for daily orders. Students will be tasked with designing a variety of common requests, ordering the flowers for those designs and making sure they are within budget. Here, we will go over standard pricing practices, presentation, customer expectations and vendor relationships

Tuesday, June 29th (10:30am – 3:30pm): Shop Simulation

Day two of this program is when the real fun begins! The shop opens first thing in the morning and students will begin to fill as many orders as they can by the end of the day.  The expectation is that students will be able to complete each order within 30 minutes.  During this simulation, and under the watchful eye of seasoned professionals, students will learn the real requirements and atmosphere of a real flower shop while enjoying all the fun and challenging parts.  The program will leave each student brimming with confidence.

ONLINE DETAILS

Students who register for the ONLINE Flower Shop Series will join for the Day One lecture and information only. They will not be able to participate in the hands-on simulation experience on Day Two, thus given the difference in price.
