FlowerSchool New York’s “Art & Flowers Master Class Series” is designed to give students a unique experience that combines the talent and design aesthetic of a Master Florist with some of the world’s most influential and iconic fine artists. In this class Remco Van Vliet, a Dutch-born florist who is the in-house floral designer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will bring these paintings to life in this class which addresses the origins of creativity and the nature of genius.

Each florist will find inspiration from one of their favorite artists and create flower arrangements that evoke a moment, feeling or emotion reminiscent of those artists.

Flower walls, chandeliers and ‘flornados’– oh my! Do not miss this opportunity to work BIG, try your hand at real-life large-scale designs to make an impact and get the wow! In this all-day workshop designer extraordinaire Emily Pinon of Bastille Flowers & Events will pull back the curtain on large-scale designs discussing real-world logistics, construction, pricing, installation practices and managing client expectations when it comes to over-the-top design.
In this class bio-alchemist, Michelle Gagnon, will curate a special selection of botanical oils derived from flowers, herbs and spices perfect for this time of year. We will work with and discuss essential oils that are warming to the body, softening to the heart and offer aphrodisiac properties.
Welcome to the Flower Shop Series! This two-day series will take students through the workflow of running and owning a flower shop in a simulated environment. Our production management program is intended for students who are interested in working in a flower shop, wrapping orders beautifully for delivery, managing workflows and having an authentic flower shop design experience. If you are interested in working toward a career as a florist, while being coached by seasoned professionals, or just enjoy making beautiful, lush floral designs, then this two-day program is for you.
